A late 1950s Portmeirion water-colour scene, which used to hang in one of the cottages. The building painted was Gate House.

Another late 1950s Gate House scene, from Danger Man, which first linked McGoohan and Portmeirion.

McGoohan seized the opportunity to use The Prisoner and Portmeirion to push everybody's buttons! (Free For All).

David Barrie, in 1976 decided to start a Prisoner society from his home, at 39 Union Street, Cheltenham.

Six of One's co-ordinating team member, Patrick Ducher, whose French group produces 'le rÔdeur' magazine (see links page).

Society secretary Karen Pearce took a part in Six of One's own 1979 film, 'By Public Demand'. Its London ICA premiere was in 1980.

In 1993 the society and ITC presented an award to Patrick McGoohan, received on his behalf by Roger Langley.

US co-ordinator Bruce Clark gave a presentation at the 2001 Prisoner convention in Portmeirion, a welcome return after a decade.

A TV Lotus Seven feature 'The Car's The Star' in 1998 put Roger Langley in No. 2's chair (hair getting greyer, blazer tighter...)

C4's 'Laughing Prisoner' TV spoof,  filmed 1987. Outside No. 6's home is Karen Langley (formerly Pearce).

At the 2001 Portmeirion convention David Barrie enjoyed the results of nearly 25 years of the society which he started.
